Report: USC set to make another impact personnel hire

USC continues to make noise with moves in its growing personnel department. The latest addition is slated to be Logan Snead, according to a report from FootballScoop. John Brice of FootballScoop reports Snead will focus on the transfer portal and also contribute to opponent scouting.
Snead is the son of Los Angeles Rams General Manager Les Snead. He prepped at Oaks Christian and attended Virginia before transferring to the University of San Diego.
USC made a splash this offseason when it hired Chad Bowden away from Notre Dame to take over as General Manager for the Trojans. Bowden then went back into Notre Dame to hire Zaire Turner as Assistant AD of Recruiting Operations. Turner previously served as director of player personnel for the Irish. Bowden also grabbed Dre Brown from Illinois to serve as USC’s Assistant General Manager. USC then landed rising star Max Stienecker from his position as general manager at Wisconsin. Stienecker will be Executive Director of Personnel at USC. USC held onto Western Zernechel (Director of Recruiting), Drew Fox (NFL Pro Liaison/High School Relations) and Skylar Phan (Director of Recruiting Strategy) and now adds Snead to what has become one of the best personnel departments in the country with several people who will become General Managers at some point in the future.
