Following a lopsided 97-60 win over Cal, Andy Enfield said that his USC Trojans defended very well in the first half, holding the Bears to 8-33 (24%). Cal didn’t make its first shot until the 14:56 mark, to cut the Trojans’ lead to 13-2. USC kept its foot on the pedal and led 50-23 at the break. The defense wasn’t as good in the second half; Cal made 50% of its second-half shots to end the game 21-59 (35%) while the Trojans shot the ball very well the entire game.
