Another day, another huge announcement from a USC player that he will return to the Trojans for the 2025 season. Yesterday, offensive line coach Zach Hanson announced that offensive guard Emmanuel Pregnon would be back for the 2025 season. Today, safety Kamari Ramsey announced he will return.

The veteran safety posted the announcement on social media.

“USC is a special place, and I’ve loved being a part of the Trojan family,” Ramsey wrote. “After much prayer and discussion, I’ve decided that there’s more I want to accomplish with my teammates. I’m excited to run out of the Coliseum tunnel again next season wearing the Cardinal and Gold.”

Ramsey arrived at USC this past offseason as a transfer portal addition from crosstown rival UCLA. He was one of four people to make that trip, joining defensive coordinator D’Anton Lynn, cornerback John Humphrey and wide receiver Kyle Ford.

The 6-foot, 204-pound safety immediately found a starting spot in the secondary and quickly became one of USC’s best defensive players. Despite missing two games due to injury, Ramsey finished fifth on the team with 53 tackles and second on the team with 5.5 tackles for loss. He tied for the team lead with five pass breakups and led the Trojans with two fumbles.

His return is a gigantic one for a USC secondary that will lose four of five starters this offseason.
