Six Trojans Earn All-Pac-12 Recognition as USC Opens Conference Tournament Against UCLA
For the first time since 2016 at least six USC Trojans earned postseason All-Pac-12 recognition for their performance during the season.
Austin Overn
Outfielder Austin Overn led the way for USC. He was named to the All-Pac-12 team as well as the All-Pac-12 All-Defensive team.
The freshman outfielder set a new USC single-season record with 13 triples. That number leads the nation and is three more than the previous best for the Trojans. Overn has been a star at the plate this season. He’s hitting .311 with a team-best 71 hits, 20 multi-hit games and 52 runs scored.
Caden Aoki
Aoki was named to the All-Pac-12 team after posting a 4-2 record with a 2.78 ERA in 58.1 innings pitched. His ERA leads the conference and he posted a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 48-to-17.
Garrett Clarke
Pitcher Garrett Clarke earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. He finished No. 3 in the conference with eight saves this season. Clarke finished the regular season with a 1.64 ERA and an opponent batting average of just .197.
Johnny Olmstead
USC third baseman Johnny Olmstead also earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior hit .290 this season and tied for the team lead with 11 home runs. He finished second on the team in RBI (46), stolen bases (10), triples (4) and slugging percentage (.556).

Blake Sodersten
Another All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention performer, Blake Sodersten spent time as a starter and reliever for the Trojans this season. He finished the regular season No. 5 in the conference in ERA, at 3.82. He led the Trojans with 69 strikeouts in 66 innings.
Kyle Wisch
Pitcher Kyle Wisch repeated as an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention performer this season. He finished second on the team with six saves and led the Trojans in batting average against (.158) among pitchers with more than five innings pitched. He appeared in a team-high 30 games and struck out 39 batters in 33.2 innings pitched.
Next Up For the USC Trojans
After finishing last in the conference in 2022 and missing out on the inaugural Pac-12 Baseball Tournament, USC heads into this year’s edition as the No. 4 seed.
The Trojans will take on No. 7 seed UCLA at 2:30 pm PT on Tuesday. The game will air on Pac-12 Networks. USC will then play its second game in Pool C against No. 3 Washington on Thursday at 2:30 pm PT. The winners of each pool, plus a wild card team, will advance to Friday’s semifinals.
