THE LATEST: USC Linebacker Recruiting After Ty Jackson's Commitment

USC has slowly but surely assembled one of the most impressive linebacker classes in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Much of the credit goes to the tremendous defensive turnaround D'Anton Lynn's orchestrated thus far, but Lincoln Riley's defensive staff of Lynn, Eric Henderson, Shaun Nua, Doug Belk and Matt Entz is among the best in the nation. Four-star San Clemente (CA) LB Matai Tagoa’i is a top-five prospect in the state of California, one of three top-100 overall prospects in USC’s class and was the first to commit on April 1. Tagoa'i was followed a few months later by four-star Buford (GA) LB Jadon Perlotte on July 30, as Riley and Co. were able to flip the Peach State native from his long-standing pledge to Georgia.
