The No. 4 USC Trojans (17-1, 7-0) scored another important conference road win on Sunday and pushed their winning streak to 13 games with a 73-66 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers (12-6, 4-3).

It was a team effort from USC’s five starters as JuJu Watkins, Kennedy Smith, Talia von Oelhoffen, Rayah Marshall and Kiki Iriafen all scored in double-figures and were the only Trojans to record points.

Watkins led the way with a team-high 22 points to go with six rebounds and two steals. Marshall finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Iriafen and Smith both had 14 points and seven rebounds. And von Oelhoffen scored 10 points and had a game-high three steals.

After Indiana took a 25-14 lead just one minute into the second quarter, USC went on a 24-7 run to take a 38-32 lead into the halftime locker room. But the Trojans would need a fourth-quarter comeback to finish off the Hoosiers. Indiana took a 55-51 lead early in the final period but a 12-0 run by the Trojans from the 7:21 mark to 4:27 remaining pushed the game out of reach for the Hoosiers. Watkins scored seven points during the run.

True freshman Kennedy Smith continues to play like a veteran this season. Despite five turnovers, she led the Trojans with five assists and had two steals. She also came up big late in the game once again, drilling a three-pointer with 2:15 remaining and Indiana trying to claw back into it.

Watkins has scored at least 20 points in 17 of the 18 games the Trojans have played this season, including 16 in a row. She’s also connected on at least one three-pointer in each of the 13 games in the Trojans’ winning streak.

The Trojans will remain on the road and play at Purdue this Wednesday. The Boilermakers are 7-11 overall this season and winless in conference play at 0-7. USC is tied with No. 1 UCLA in first place in the conference as both teams remain undefeated.
