Folsom (CA) Tight End Nela Tupou Commits to USC
Three-star Folsom (CA) tight end Nela Tupou has flipped his commitment from Utah to the USC Trojans. He’d been committed to the Utes since Feb. 20.
Tupou, who catches passes at Folsom from five-star USC QB target Ryder Lyons, was offered by USC on Oct. 30 and took an official visit to Los Angeles over the Nov. 16 weekend.
Although On3 lists him as a Edge, he’ll be an addition to Zach Hanson’s USC tight ends room next year.
The December signing period is less than two weeks away and USC is fighting hard to close out this recruiting class strong. It’s gonna cost a lot of money to do it, so if the Trojans do pull it off, that’s a great sign House of Victory is rockin n rollin.
If the commitment comes from the class of 2026, we’re leaning heavily toward that pledge coming from five-star Folsom (CA) quarterback Ryder Lyons. Other strong contenders are four-star Orange Lutheran OL Samuelu Utu or four-star Rancho Cucamonga (CA) cornerback RJ Sermons. All three have been regular visitors during the season.

Either way, USC playing good looking football at home this season has left the Trojans in a strong spot from a recruiting perspective. That and a much stronger NIL situation than in 2022 and 2023.
2025 USC commits (23) after Nela Tupou
The Trojans currently have 21 verbal commits from the class of 2025, THE LATEST seven coming from Nela Tupou, Cash Jacobsen, Aaron Dunn, Stephen Miller, Floyd Boucard, Jerome Myles, Ty Jackson, James Johnson and Dee Reddick…who flipped from UCF.
