Top-100 EDGE Max Granville names USC in top group
Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian Academy 2025 four-star EDGE Max Granville has trimmed his recruitment down to 10 programs and USC has made the cut.
The full list includes USC, Alabama, Penn State, Baylor, Kansas, SMU, Texas A&M, LSU, and Oklahoma.
Granville is the nation’s No. 120 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the cycle’s No. 10 edge rusher and No. 20 recruit from Texas.
On3 rates Granville higher than every other major recruiting service. He is the No. 75 overall prospect in the 2025 On300, as well as the No. 6 edge rusher and No. 14 recruit from Texas.
USC has been involved with Granville for some time now, extending the offer back in April.
He has not yet visited Los Angeles, but I would expect for him to so this upcoming spring and/or summer.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has the Oklahoma Sooners as the favorite to land a commitment from Granville at 97.1%. Oklahoma recruiting insider Josh McCuistion logged an expert prediction with a 60% confidence level that Granville will commit to the Sooners in November.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Granville does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
