USC defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu continued his rampage through the 2022 schedule over the weekend, recording four tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in a win against Cal. For his efforts, Tuipulotu was named the Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday.

It’s the third time Tuipulotu has won the award this season. His first came following USC’s win against Stanford. He had six tackles, including four for loss and a sack. He also forced a fumble and had a pass deflection.

His second came following USC’s win against Washington State. In that one, Tuipulotu recorded five tackles, including four for loss and three sacks, to go with one quarterback hurry. He also took home Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for that performance.

Tuipulotu leads the nation in sacks with nine and he is tied for No. 3 in the country in total tackles for loss, with 15.

Tuipulotu is one of four conference players to win a Pac-12 Player of the Week award three times this season. Oregon quarterback Bo Nix was named Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in a row following Saturday’s game against Colorado. Stanford kicker Joshua Karty has been Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week three times. And Cal running back Jaydn Ott has been Pac-12 Freshman of the Week three times.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams was named Offensive Player of the Week following the Stanford game earlier this season. USC safety Bryson Shaw was the Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Arizona. The Trojans have not produced an offensive line, special teams or freshman winner this season.
