The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. announced its 2023 Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List on Monday. USC wide receivers Dorian Singer and Tahj Washington are included among the 49 players on the list.

The Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football’s most outstanding FBS receiver. It can go to any player who catches a pass and includes all receivers, tight ends and running backs. The award has been given annually since 1994. Former USC receiver Marqise Lee is the only Trojan to win it, taking it home following the 2012 season. Jordan Addison won the 2021 Biletnikoff Award while at Pittsburgh before transferring to USC for the 2022 season.

Singer came to USC this offseason via the transfer portal. The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors last season at Arizona. He finished the season with 66 receptions for 1,105 yards and six touchdowns. Singer goes into the 2023 season as a first-team preseason All-Pac-12 selection by the conference media.

He’s joining a very talented receiving corps for the Trojans but is one of the best in the nation when it comes to ball skills.

Included in that receiving corps is Washington. He’s been an integral part of the USC offense since coming over as a transfer from Memphis prior to the 2021 season. Washington caught 54 passes for 602 yards and a touchdown for the Trojans that season. He didn’t take long to adjust to head coach Lincoln Riley’s offense at USC. Washington finished No. 2 on the Trojans last fall in all major statistical receiving categories.

He caught 50 passes for 785 yards and six touchdowns, and was especially productive over the second half of the season. In the final seven games, Washington posted three 100-yard performances and caught all six of his touchdowns. He scored the first touchdown of the Pac-12 Championship Game against Utah and caught five passes for 109 yards against Tulane in the Cotton Bowl.

Players can be added to the list as performances during the season warrant. USC has a few other receivers who could be in line for big 2023 seasons. Mario Williams caught 40 passes for 631 yards and five touchdowns despite missing multiple games due to injury last year. Brenden Rice caught 39 passes for 611 yards and four touchdowns, including a huge Cotton Bowl performance. Michael Jackson III was very good while filling in for an injured Addison last year. And true freshman Zachariah Branch could be ready to make a big impact in his first year.
