Updated Betting Odds for USC at Stanford
Following a 66-14 beatdown of Rice at the Coliseum on Saturday, USC travels up to the Farm this coming weekend for its Pac 12 opener against Stanford. Let’s take a look at some of the betting odds for the matchup.
Betting Odds List Trojans as Nine-Point Favorites Over Stanford
According to Action Network, USC is currently a nine point favorite against Stanford. When the betting odds were first released on Sunday, the Trojans opened as 10.5-point favorites. However, early action by bettors on the Cardinal pushed the line down to nine.
In addition, the over/under for the matchup is currently set at 65 points. Given that the Trojans scored 66 points by themselves last weekend, oddsmakers are clearly banking on Stanford being able to stop USC’s explosive offense far better than Rice could.

USC’s Recent History vs. Stanford
Although USC has dominated the series with Stanford historically, things have been much more evenly matched in recent years. The Trojans and Cardinal have split their past ten matchups, dating back to 2013. Two of those meetings have come in the Pac 12 Championship Game, with Stanford winning the 2015 edition and USC getting revenge in 2017.
USC has particularly struggled on the road at Stanford in recent years. After going 4-0 on the Farm during the Pete Carroll era, USC is just 1-4 at Stanford since 2010. USC’s lone win during that stretch came in 2014, when the Trojans defeated the Cardinal in a 13-10 slugfest.
