USC 2024 season win total projection sees down year for Trojans
FanDuel Sportsbook set its season win totals for college football teams this week and the book isn’t exactly projecting a bounce-back year for the Trojans in USC’s first year in the Big Ten.
The over/under for USC’s 2024 win total is set at 7.5. The Trojans have failed to win eight games in a season just three times since the 2001 season. Lane Kiffin’s 2012 team famously took a No. 1 ranking into the season and turned it into a 7-6 record. Clay Helton won five games in 2018 and Helton and interim coach Donte Williams went 4-8 in 2021.
USC faces a difficult schedule in 2024. The Trojans open with a nonconference, neutral site game against what will be a ranked LSU team in Las Vegas. They will travel to face both participants in the national championship game, at Michigan and Washington. And USC will likely get visits from a ranked Penn State team as well as a ranked Notre Dame team.
Here’s how the Big Ten win total projections shake out for 2024 at FanDuel.
Ohio State – 10.5 wins
Oregon – 10.5 wins
Michigan – 9.5 wins
Penn State – 9.5 wins
USC – 7.5 wins
Washington – 7.5 wins

Iowa – 7.5 wins
Maryland – 7.5 wins
Wisconsin – 6.5 wins
Rutgers – 5.5 wins
Northwestern – 5.5 wins
Michigan State – 5.5 wins
Illinois – 5.5 wins
Indiana – 5.5 wins
Minnesota – 4.5 wins
Purdue – 4.5 wins

FanDuel has also posted early lookahead lines for some of college football’s biggest 2024 matchups. The USC – LSU Kickoff Classic at Allegiant Stadium is one of those lines. And similarly to the win totals, FanDuel does not see a positive start for the Trojans.
LSU has opened as a 6-point favorite against USC in a game that will see both teams run out inexperienced quarterbacks replacing Heisman Trophy winners and defensive staffs with just one holdover combined (USC defensive ends coach Shaun Nua).
