Former Colorado wide receiver Brenden Rice announced his intentions to transfer to USC on Tuesday. He becomes the third wide receiver set to transfer to USC this offseason.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Rice was a four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class out of Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton.

Rice made a quick impact at Colorado as a big-play threat. As a true freshman, he averaged 26.4 yards per touch and scored three touchdowns on just nine total plays.

This past year, in an anemic Colorado offense, Rice caught 21 passes for 299 yards and a team-high three touchdowns.

He joins former Oklahoma Sooner Mario Williams and former Washington Husky Terrell Bynum as transfer wide receiver additions for the Trojans this offseason.

Rice is the son of superstar wide receiver Jerry Rice, a member of the Pro and College Football Halls of Fame.
