USC will take part in its final five spring ball practices over this and next week, culminating in the Spring Game on Saturday, April 23. Today, USC announced everything you need to know about game day activities for the Trojans’ Spring Game.

The event will include food and in-game entertainment while you watch the Trojans for the first time under head coach Lincoln Riley. Most importantly, the game is free and open to all fans.

Parking will be $25 for either the Green or Blue Lot at the Coliseum. Gates are scheduled to open at 10:30 am and standard concessions, including alcohol, will be open.

This is the only spring game that will be broadcast live by ESPN this spring. Matt Barrie, Kirk Herbstreit, Joey Galloway and Molly McGrath will be on the call.

But USC is hoping to bring as many people are possible out for the game and loading up with fan-friendly activities.

“This is our fans’ lone opportunity to see our football team before they take the field for our home opener on September 3,” USC Athletic Director Mike Bohn said in a statement. “Because of that, we want to invite our fans to enjoy complimentary access to the Coliseum, and it is important that we create a fan-focused event that is much bigger than just the action on the field. With the entire country watching as the only ESPN televised spring football game, we wanted to create a memorable experience for everyone involved. We can’t wait to see our fans next Saturday.”

In-Game Action

The Trojans will take part in about an hour of warm-up drills, beginning at 11 am. Around noon, USC will have its live scrimmage, televised by ESPN.

Commercial breaks will be filled by “fun and engaging activities for fans.” Included are opportunities to compete against players and other fans in various challenges.

Pre-Game Family Fan Fest

A pre-game fan fest will be held beginning at 10:30 am at the Peristyle end of the Coliseum. There will be carnival games, food trucks and photo opportunities, including one with Traveler. There will also be a surplus sale. According to a statement from USC, the sale will contain more than 7,000 items of 10 years worth of official USC football team Nike product, including pants, hats, backpacks, shoes and jerseys.

Fan Giveaways

USC will be giving away 15,000 posters, 10,000 shirts and student prizes. The posters will be given to the first 15,000 people in attendance. The shirts will be placed on seats on the north side of the stadium. And students can win Nike gear, 2022 pre-game field passes and an opportunity to travel with the team for an away game this coming season.

Post-Game Activities

Fans will be invited onto the Coliseum field to pose for photos and interact with players and coaches. Fans who do so will be provided the 2022 Spring Game poster in order to get autographs.

Scholarship Club Tower tours will also be available via a guided open house.

USC Looking to Finish on a High Note

USC will be looking to put on a show for fans at the spring game. Riley spoke recently about good programs not coasting to the spring finish line, which would include the spring game. It’s clear the coaches and players are hoping for a sizable turnout for the spring game. USC is doing what it can to ensure a big crowd.
