The USC Trojans have clinched the 2024-25 Crosstown Cup over the UCLA Bruins. The annual competition between Los Angeles rivals began in 2001-02 and the Trojans are now 14-9 in the 23-year history of the award. The competition was suspended for the 2019-20 season.

Points are awarded based on head-to-head results in each of the 19 sports both programs compete. For sports without head-to-head matchups, the higher finisher Big Ten or Mountain Pacific Sports Federation standings earns the points. Ten points are awarded for each sport, with the programs splitting points 5-5 in the event of a tie or each team winning an equal number of games.

For the 2024-25 season, USC holds a 110-70 lead with 10 points still undecided due to the baseball season continuing for both programs. The teams are tied 2-2 there with a five-point split the likely outcome.

The Trojans took all 10 points in football, women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s swimming & diving, women’s rowing, women’s golf, women’s basketball, beach volleyball, women’s water polo and men’s tennis. The programs split in women’s tennis and men’s volleyball. UCLA took 10 points in men’s water polo, men’s golf, men’s basketball, men’s track & field, women’s track & field and women’s cross country.

This is the fifth year in a row the Crosstown Cup has changed hands between the rivals. The Bruins have won back-to-back cups just once in its history.
