The updated 2026 On300 Rankings were released Monday and several commitments in the No. 2 rated class for the USC Trojans saw movement. Here’s a rundown of who moved and which direction they went (Hint: It was a good rankings update for the Trojans)

Cornerback RJ Sermons (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga) maintained his hold on the top spot among USC commitments. While he saw a small slide from the No. 11 overall player to the No. 13 overall player, he took over the No. 1 spot among cornerbacks nationally. The movement also slid him up from the No. 30 overall player and No. 3 cornerback in the On3 Industry Rankings to the No. 23 overall player and No. 2 cornerback in those same Industry Rankings.

Linebacker Xavier Griffin (Gainesville, Ga./Gainesville) maintained his spot as the top-ranked USC commitment according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He jumped in the updated On3 Rankings from No. 80 overall and the No. 6 linebacker to No. 49 overall and the No. 4 linebacker. That meant a two-spot jump in the Industry Rankings as he’s now the No. 23 overall player and No. 2 linebacker.

Cornerback Brandon Lockhart (Los Angeles/Loyola) made a 10-spot jump in the Industry Rankings thanks to a sizeable move up in the new On3 Rankings. He went from No. 122 overall to No. 99 overall and is now a top-10 player in California in both rankings.

Quarterback Jonas Williams (Frankfort Heights, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) slid up a bit, moving from No. 94 overall to No. 89 overall. He dropped one spot in the quarterback rankings (going from No. 6 to No. 7) as quarterback Bowe Bentley jumped into the On300 as a top-50 player.

New edge commitment Simote Katoanga (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita) dropped just a bit, going from No. 52 to No. 66. But the overall shuffle still moved him up in the On3 Industry Rankings. He moved there from No. 95 to No. 91 and remains the No. 12 player in California.

Running back Shahn Alston (Painesville, Ohio/Harvey) made a bit of a jump, moving from No. 134 to No. 126 and going all the way from the No. 15 running back nationally to No. 9.

Defensive lineman Braeden Jones (Chicago/Mt. Carmel) is another USC commitment who moved up in these rankings. He jumped nearly 30 spots, going from No. 281 overall to No. 253. He’s now a top-20 defensive lineman in the On3 Rankings and inside the top 200 players in the On3 Industry Rankings at No. 196.

All of those recruits mentioned above are four-star prospects in both the On3 Ranking and the On3 Industry Ranking.

There were no real rankings changes for the three three-star commitments heading into Monday. Athletes Joshua Holland (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) and Madden Riordan (Pasadena, Calif./Sierra Canyon) and wide receiver Ja’Myron Baker (Los Alamitos, Calif./Sierra Canyon) all maintained three-star status and slid a bit as more prospects slotted into the rankings ahead of them. USC edge commit Andrew Williams earned a ranking from On3, grabbing an 89 grade and landing as the top-ranked three-star prospect in the class. He is now the No. 24-ranked prospect in California in the On3 Ranking and just outside of four-star consideration (the top 21 prospects in the state are four-star recruits.)
