The USC Trojans are firmly in both the Week 11 AP and Coaches polls following a 21-17 win at Nebraska.

The 21-17 win over the Cornhuskers moved the Trojans up to No. 20 in the AP poll. That’s a three-spot rise from last week and matches the high ranking for USC this season.

USC also landed at No. 21 in the Coaches Poll this week. The Trojans were not ranked in that poll last week, which makes this a six-spot jump for Lincoln Riley’s program.

USC will have a chance to make a rankings statement the next two weeks against a tricky Northwestern team and Iowa team now ranked No. 24 in the coaches poll. An 8-2 USC team with wins over both would continue to climb well into the Top 20.

The Big Ten continues its hold on the top two spots with Ohio State and No. 1 and Indiana at No. 2. USC does have a win against a Michigan team that is No. 20 in the coaches poll and No. 21 in the AP poll. Two wins the next two weeks would set up a ranked showdown in Eugene between USC and the No. 6 Oregon Ducks on Nov. 22.
