The USC wide receiver room is undergoing a significant shift this offseason as 2024 starters Kyron Hudson, Duce Robinson and Zachariah Branch all entered the transfer portal. The Trojans are set to bring back Ja’Kobi Lane and Makai Lemon but there is extremely little proven ability outside of those two. Saturday, USC extended an offer to one of the top wideouts in the transfer portal in former Appalachian State receiver Kaedin Robinson.

Robinson told WeAreSC on Saturday he definitely plans on getting out to Los Angeles for a USC official visit.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver is looking for his fourth school after attending ASA Brooklyn Junior College in 2020, then UCF in 2021 and Appalachian State from 2022-24. He’s been extremely productive over the past two seasons, catching 67 passes for 905 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 and 53 passes for 840 yards and two scores in 2024. He played in just nine games this season due to a season-ending injury.

Robinson is the No. 44 overall player and the No. 12 wide receiver in the 2025 On3 transfer portal rankings.

He’s been on a recruiting tear since entering the transfer portal on Jan. 3.

Michigan offered immediately, followed by UCF, Cal, UCLA, Wake Forest, Florida State, Virginia, Auburn, West Virginia and then USC.

In addition to the three starting wide receivers who departed via the portal, the Trojans also saw Charles Ross leave for Purdue and Kyle Ford exhaust his college eligibility. USC is scheduled to return Jay Fair and Jaden Richardson, who arrived at USC last season via the portal but did not see extensive playing time. Freshman Xavier Jordan will push to see the field in 2025 and the Trojans signed three four-star wide receiver prospects in their 2025 recruiting class.
