USC gets commitment from massive local lineman Elijah Vaikona
The USC Trojans’ 2025 recruiting class landed a massive addition on Tuesday as 6-foot-8, 370-pound offensive lineman Elijah Vaikona announced his commitment.
Despite his size, Vaikona flew largely under the recruiting radar until this spring when he hit the camp circuit hard and his recruitment took off. USC offensive line coach Josh Henson watched Vaikona perform at USC’s summer camp and extended an offer.

Vaikona is now on track to become a fourth-generation Trojan, but Lincoln Riley and staff had to work hard to beat out UCLA and Washington, Vaikona’s other two finalists.
USC is looking to put together a third-straight deep offensive line class after a handful of years where the Trojans didn’t do nearly enough at that position. Vaikona is commitment No. 2 up front in USC’s 2025 class, joining future center Willi Wascher. And the Trojans remain in the mix for some big-time offensive tackles, including four-star Malachi Goodman, four-star Carde Smith, four-star Nick Brooks and four-star Aaron Dunn.
