The USC Trojans have landed another 2026 commitment as junior college cornerback Jakwon Morris announced his decision.

Morris is a 6-foot, 170-pound sophomore at Northwest Mississippi Community College and took an official visit to USC for the Trojans’ big win against Michigan.

“Great time. I loved it, and everything was authentic,” Morris told WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader following the visit. “They made me feel wanted and not just an option.”

Through six games this season, Morris has 23 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, to go with three pass breakups and a fumble recovery. He finished his 2024 freshman season with four tackles, three pass breakups and an interception in 10 games.

Morris is commitment No. 33 for USC’s huge 2026 class that ranks as the No. 1 group in the nation.

He’s the sixth defensive back to commit, but the Trojans clearly wanted to add someone with some age and experience to that room next season as they went after a junior college prospect. The Trojans are set to lose starter DeCarlos Nicholson after this season and that will be a very young and inexperienced position next year outside of likely returning starter Marcelles Williams.

Morris was originally a 2024 prospect out of Tupelo (Miss.) High School. Across his junior and senior seasons, he had 82 tackles, five interceptions and 15 passes defended.
