USC lands commitment from edge defender Jadyn Ramos
While the December early signing period has taken all the attention away from the February traditional signing day, the USC Trojans are still using this period to build their 2025 recruiting class. On Tuesday, the Trojans added to the group with a commitment from three-star edge defender Jadyn Ramos out of Conroe (Texas) High School.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end announced his commitment on social media.
“I am beyond blessed and thankful to say that for the next 3-4 years I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at [USC],” Ramos posted. ” Thank you to [Eric Henderson], [Shaun Nua] and the rest of the USC coaching staff for giving me an opportunity.”
Ramos finished his senior season with 73 tackles, including 18 sacks and 36.5 tackles for loss. He generated 32 quarterback pressures and forced four fumbles. Ramos was named the 13-6A defensive player of the year.
His head coach, Cedric Hardeman, was pretty clear in his thoughts as to what USC is getting in Ramos.

“The BEST DE in the state,” Hardeman posted to social media. “Don’t debate with me… just check the tape!”
Ramos said the offer from USC came in early January and he took an official visit to check out the Trojans in mid-January. He committed during the visit but waited until now to announce. Ramos had previously earned offers from Kansas, Kansas State and Pitt.
He joins a solid defensive haul for the Trojans in the 2025 class but one that might have been light on edge rushers. Five-star Jahkeem Stewart could wind up anywhere on the defensive line, while three-stars Floyd Boucard and Cash Jacobsen seemed slated for defensive tackle. Gus Cordova is the final defensive lineman in the class and could also have some positional versatility depending on how he develops.
