The 2026 recruiting class for the USC Trojans continue to add big-time commitments. The latest comes from 6-foot-4.5, 290-pound interior offensive lineman Kannon Smith out of Valor Christian High School in Colorado.

Smith visited USC this past weekend and didn’t wait long afterward to announce his commitment.

“Thankful for all the opportunities that I have been given to continue my academic and athletic career,” Smith posted to his X account. “After long conversation with my parents and coach I have committed to the University of Southern California. FIGHT ON!”

Smith is a three-star prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking and the nation’s No. 549 overall recruit and No. 47 interior lineman. His offer sheet is a who’s who of elite college football programs. During the recruiting process, he picked up offers from Alabama, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State and many more.

He joins a USC recruiting class that ranks No. 2 in the country and is the 23rd prospect to commit to the Trojans this year. The offensive line haul put together by Lincoln Riley and position coach Zach Hanson now includes Smith, four-star IOL Esun Tafa, three-star tackle Vlad Dyakonov, three-star IOL John Fifita and unranked tackle Chase Deniz.
