USC offensive lineman Cooper Lovelace is the latest Trojan to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal this offseason.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman came to USC from Butler Community College ahead of the 2022 season. He played in three games that year and four games this past season as a reserve offensive lineman. Lovelace earned a spot on the 2023 Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll and was likely to serve as a backup lineman at multiple positions for the 2024 team.

Lovelace is the fifth USC player to enter the portal during the spring window that opened on April 16. He joins fellow offensive lineman Jason Zandamela, defensive linemen Stanley Ta’ufo’ou and Isaiah Raikes, and defensive back Tre’Quon Fegans. Raikes is the only player to subsequently announce a commitment to a new school as he is headed to Auburn.
