USC Men's Basketball Announces 10-Day Summer Tour to Greece and Croatia
The USC men’s basketball team is going to be one of the most discussed groups in college basketball this season. And the Trojans will have a chance to make international headlines as Andy Enfield announced Friday that his squad will take a 10-day exhibition tour to Greece and Croatia this summer from Aug. 5-15.
The Trojans will play three games during the trip, one each in Athens, Mykonos and Dubrovnik.
“We are excited to announce our 2023 Summer Tour to Greece and Croatia,” Enfield said in a statement. “This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes and staff to enjoy a unique educational and cultural experience in three amazing cities. The three games against competitive professional teams will be invaluable to the development of the 2023-24 squad.”
NCAA rules allow programs to travel on an overseas summer tour once every four years. In 2019, the Trojans spent 11 days in Spain and France. USC went 3-0 in games played in Barcelona, Cannes and Paris.
This trip will be hugely beneficial for this 2023-24 team. Programs that go on these overseas trips are able to hold 10 practices before departing. That means the Trojans are able to get an early start on the season. And teams that take these trips often speak about the camaraderie built during the week and a half traveling together.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
There are some true freshmen who should greatly benefit from the early start and extra practice time. Point guard Isaiah Collier arrives with huge expectations given his ranking as the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect. And it’ll be interesting to see how much attention fellow five-star prospect Bronny James draws overseas.
This edition of the Trojans is looking to extend a couple of four-year streaks that began with that 2019-20 team. In each of the past four years, USC recorded at least 20 wins and finished in the top three of the Pac-12 Conference. A smaller streak this year’s team is hoping to avoid is that the Trojans have been knocked out of the first round of the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons.
