USC Moves Up in Latest AP and Coaches Polls
On Saturday, USC earned its first Pac 12 victory of the Lincoln Riley era with a dominant road win over Stanford. With the handy win and several top ten teams losing, the Trojans moved up several spots in both the latest AP and Coaches Polls.
Let’s take a look at where USC came in.
USC Up to Number Seven in Latest AP Poll
The updated AP Poll was released this morning, and USC rose three spots to number seven. Last week, the Trojans were ranked tenth.
USC jumped ahead of three teams who were ranked ahead of them that lost on Saturday. Notre Dame and Texas A&M were stunned at home by Marshall and Appalachian State, respectively, while Baylor lost in double overtime on the road at BYU.

Trojans Rise to Eighth in Latest Coaches Poll
In addition, USC rose four spots to number eight in the latest Coaches Poll. Last week, the Trojans came in at number twelve.
In addition to the three teams that the Trojans jumped in front of in the AP Poll, the Trojans also passed Michigan State in the Coaches Poll. This came despite the fact that the Spartans dominated Akron 52-0 on Saturday.
