USC offers 2024 B1G DL commit Jide Abasiri
USC has extended a new offer to Savage (Minn.) Prior Lake three-star defensive lineman and Minnesota commit Jide Abasiri.
Abasiri has been committed to the Golden Gophers since March 2023.
Abasiri is the No. 600 overall prospect and No. 59 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Minnesota.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Abasiri holds eight total offers, seven of them in the power five.
His offers come from Minnesota, USC, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa State, Washington, Kansas State, and Central Michigan.
Abasiri has had a fairly quiet recruitment, only visiting three schools to date. Those visits were to Minnesota, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin.
Now with an offer on the table, it is presumed USC will work to get him to Los Angeles for a visit.
