USC offers 2024 Washington DL commit Dominic Kirks
USC has extended a new offer and it just so happens to be a current commitment of the Trojans opponent later this week. Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph four-star defensive lineman Dominic Kirks went to social media Tuesday afternoon to report his new USC offer.
Kirks has been committed to Washington since June.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder is the No. 353 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 32 defensive lineman and the No. 13 player in Ohio.
On3 ranks Kirks even higher than the industry, tabbing him as the No. 266 overall prospect and No. 26 defensive lineman.
Before committing to Washington this summer, he had a top five group that included Nebraska, Wisconsin, Washington, Kentucky and Pittsburgh.
He took official visits to Pittsburgh (June 2), Wisconsin (June 9), and Washington (June 16).
Since committing, he has picked up three new offers from Maryland, Michigan State, and now USC. He did take an unofficial visit Michigan State in September when the Spartans hosted Washington. Kirks also unofficially visited Ohio State in early October, although he does not hold an offer.

Why he originally chose Washington
Kirks spoke with On3’s Chad Simmons the day he committed to the Huskies. Here is what he had to say about his decision.
“When I went out there the first time on my unofficial visit, I wasn’t expecting too much,” he told On3. “When I first stepped into the facilities though, that’s when everything changed. I was thinking before I went out that I’d be so uncomfortable out there by myself, I wouldn’t be ready for that. But it just wasn’t that at all. It was the complete opposite. I was with my brothers and my coaches when I first stepped in there, and they made it feel like home.”
Kirks also feels like Washington is the best place he can be developed both for college and hopefully the NFL.
“How they can develop me, it’s perfect,” he said.
