Rodney Sermons

USC has extended a very intriguing offer in the class of 2026. The Trojans have offered San Bernardino (Cal.) Bishop Amat athlete Rodney Sermons Jr, a legacy of a former USC Trojan football player, Rodney Sermons.

Sermons Sr. was a four-year member of the USC football team from 1994-1997, playing running back. In his career, Sermons rushed for 1,170 total yards and 16 total touchdowns. 888 of his yards came on the ground on 219 carries.

Sermons Jr. is not yet ranked in the 2026 class. He holds offers from USC, Alabama, Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Michigan State, Washington, Louisville, Ole Miss, Connecticut, and Akron.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine

Following the new offer, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the USC Trojans as a major favorite to land a commitment from Sermons at 58.3%. The On3 RPM does not even take into effect that Sermons is a legacy prospect.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Sermons does not yet have a public NIL valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
