It looks like the USC offense will take another hit via the transfer portal as On3’s Pete Nakos reported today that wide receiver Duce Robinson plans to enter.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Robinson caught 23 passes for 396 yards and five touchdowns for the Trojans this season. He has 39 receptions for 747 yards and seven touchdowns in his two-year career.

While he had flashes of impressive plays and performances, Robinson couldn’t quite deliver with the consistency to become a playmaker every week for the Trojans. His best game of his USC career came in a four-catch, 90-yard performance against Nebraska in what was the first start for quarterback Jayden Maiava. But Robinson had just one catch for 14 yards the following week.

It was part of an up-and-down season for a USC wide receiver group that is now going through an anticipated off-season shakeup. Fellow wide receiver Kyron Hudson has already entered the transfer portal and Ja’Kobi Lane has been often discussed as a potential departure as well.

Robinson was a major addition for USC in the 2023 recruiting class as a five-star production and the No. 23 overall recruit in the nation. He joined a group of wide receivers for the Trojans in that class that included Lane and Makai Lemon as four-star prospects and Zachariah Branch as a five-star recruit. It was expected that quartet would have a breakout season in 2024, but it largely fizzled outside of a few standout games and now it appears the group won’t return intact for the 2025 season.
