USC the latest to offer 2026 running back Ryelan Morris
USC has extended a new offer in the class of 2026. Honey Grove (Tex.) running back Ryelan Morris reported an offer from Kiel McDonald and the Trojans.
Morris is a young up and coming prospect who a number of programs have taken an eye to in recent months.
USC joins SMU, UNT, Baylor, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, Purdue, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Washington State to extend offers.
As a sophomore in the 2023 season, Morris turned in a phenomenal campaign. What is especially impressive is that he did it on both sides of the ball in a number of positions.
In the rushing game, Morris had 159 attempts for an impressive 1,754 yards to go along with 32 touchdowns. He averaged 11 yards per carry and 134.9 yards per game in 13 games played. Also on offense, Morris was a big part of the passing game, playing quarterback. He was 54-for-95 passing for 888 passing yards and another 10 touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, Morris had 35 total tackles, four interceptions, and three more pass deflections. He also had one fumble recovery.
As a prospect in the 2026 cycle, Morris is not yet ranked.
USC has now publicly offered six running backs in the 2026 cycle. Morris makes for the third one to come from Texas, which is not surprising given the affinity running backs coach Kiel McDonald has for prospects from the Lone Star State.

While at USC, in the past three classes, McDonald has solely signed running backs from the state of Texas when bringing them in out of high school.
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has the SMU Mustangs as the heavy favorite to land a commitment from Morris at 77.8%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
He currently does not have a listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
