USC Trojans Claim 2022-23 Crosstown Cup Over UCLA
The Crosstown Cup belongs to the USC Trojans for the 2022-23 athletic year. The Trojans posted a 105-85 win over the UCLA Bruins.
Each win over the other program is worth 10 points. The programs can earn five points each if there is a 1-1 tie as there was in men’s basketball this season.
USC pushed its lead over UCLA in the series to 13-8, though UCLA was winning during the 2019-20 year before competitions were suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
That makes this officially the third win in four complete seasons for USC. And it gives the programs a 5-5 split over the past 10 years.
USC fans will certainly be the happiest with the 10 points the Trojans secured on the gridiron. The Trojans came away with a 48-45 win over the Bruins at the Rose Bowl, erasing a 14-0 second-quarter deficit in the process.
