– USC is 6-0 all-time against Utah State. All six games have taken place in the Coliseum. The most recent meeting came during the 2016 season, when USC won 45-7.
– Utah State interim head coach Nate Dreiling is the youngest head coach in FBS at 33 years old. He was elevated from defensive coordinator to interim head coach when the Aggies parted ways with Blake Anderson in early July.
– Utah State will be without top running back Robert Briggs, who fractured his left leg in the opening game after rushing nine times for 88 yards.
– Utah State kicker Elliott Nimrod is coming off a 3-for-3 field goal game, including a career-best 50-yarder. He also forced touchbacks on all eight of his kickoff attempts and was named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week.
