USC wide receiver Dorian Singer enters the NCAA transfer portal
USC wide receiver Dorian Singer entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday as another in a long line of Trojan wideouts leaving the program.
Singer looked like a big-time addition for USC this past offseason as he came over following a 1,000-yard season at Arizona. But despite finishing with the third-most snaps among USC wide receivers this season, he finished sixth on the team with just 24 receptions for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He never caught more than four passes in any game and he never had as many as 50 receiving yards in a game. It was one of the more surprising seasons for any USC player this season considering Singer caught seven passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns for the Wildcats against the Trojans during the 2022 season.
He follows Mario Williams, Raleek Brown and Michael Jackson III as USC wide receivers into the transfer portal. The Trojans also lost Tahj Washington and Brenden Rice to the NFL draft with one year of eligibility remaining for each.
USC will likely look for a few more transfer portal additions at receiver this offseason, but the young talent on the roster is already starting to show. Zachariah Branch, Duce Robinson, Ja’Kobi Lane and Makai Lemon all made impacts as true freshmen and should be in line for increased roles in 2024.
