The UConn Huskies knocked the USC Trojans out of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament earlier in an Elite 8 matchup, but Lindsay Gottlieb’s squad won’t have to wait long to get another shot at the Huskies.

USC announced today that they have scheduled a home-and-home series with UConn. The first game will be played at UConn on December 21 in a nationally televised game on FOX. The following year, UConn will visit USC at Galen Center.

“We are committed to taking part in some of the most exciting matchups in college basketball,” USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb said in a statement. “There’s something unique and special about a home-and-home series, as it engages not only the national TV audience, but the fan bases of the respective schools. UConn vs. USC, on each coast over the next two seasons, will challenge our players in a terrific environment. What a great series to be a part of.”

UConn is 3-0 all-time against USC, including the recent 80-73 win that sent the Huskies to the Final Four.

These teams will have two of college basketball’s most recognizable stars as JuJu Watkins returns for the Trojans and Paige Bueckers is back for UConn. Watkins will be supported by two huge transfer portal additions for the Trojans, in Kiki Iriafen from Stanford and Talia von Oelhoffen from Oregon State, along with the nation’s No. 1 incoming recruiting class.
