Versatile Georgia ATH James Johnson Commits to USC
Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County 2025 ATH James Johnson has probably flown more under there radar than any USC prospect the past few years, but the Trojans have been seriously pursuing since offering him way back in January.
On Monday Johnson released a list of his top five schools and today (8/30) he announced his commitment to USC.
The Trojans envision him as a wide receiver, defensive back and a return guy down the road. They are very high on him and his versatility, but he projects as a defensive back for the Doug Belk and the Trojans.
Johnson did a bit of everything for Douglas County in 2022. He had 31 receptions for 614 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson also ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He was also forced to play quarterback when the team’s starter went down with an injury. Johnson threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns.
