WeAre SCOn3: Trojans Pushing Sellout, Position Groups, Another Added Visitor
A daily three-point briefing recapping the news and notes of USC athletics. Today, it’s USC’s push for a sellout, clarity regarding position groups, and another talented prospect set to visit USC.
USC Pushing For a Sellout vs. the Arizona Wildcats on Tuesday
Two huge games remain for the Trojans this season. Before finishing the season at UCLA, USC will return to Galen to take on Arizona on Tuesday. It’s a potentially huge game for seeding implications, and the Trojans are pushing hard to make it a sellout. USC Athletics Chief of Staff Brandon Sosna announced that they would be distributing an extra 1000 free student tickets to break the student attendance record. Lincoln Riley also mentioned that he would be in attendance for the showdown between two of the Pac-12’s best. He also attended a basketball game in December. On the other side, Arizona is coming off of a tough loss to the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder.
Position Groups Beginning to Take Shape
USC shared a few photos from its beach day on Saturday, and a few assistant coaches show who their rooms would consist of this year. OLB coach Roy Manning’s group consisted of Solomon Tuliapupu, Korey Foreman, Romello Height, and Eli’jah Winston. On the other hand, tight end coach Zach Hanson’s group was larger and featured multiple returning Trojans.

4-Star OL Olaus Alinen Set to Visit USC
Another top offensive lineman is set to visit USC this week as Olaus Alinen recently told WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader he will be visiting Los Angeles. Alinen is currently attending The Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut. Alinen shared more insight about his interest in the Trojans with Schrader:
”I have a good relationship with the OL coaches and the networking opportunities in LA are awesome. The degree from USC is really good as well. The new staff is attracting a lot of attention from top recruits, so I want to get out there and spend some time with them.”
On3’s Chad Simmons caught up with the talented offensive lineman a few months ago as well.
