WeAreSC On3 1/24/23: McDonald's All-Americans, NIL Top Ten, and Caleb Supports Addison
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at two USC Basketball signees being named McDonald’s All-Americans, On3’s NIL top ten rankings, and Caleb Williams showing his support for Jordan Addison.
McDonald’s All-Americans
Yesterday, two USC Basketball signees were officially named McDonald’s All-Americans. One of the players was five-star point guard Isaiah Collier. On3 Consensus ranks Collier as the number one overall player in the class of 2023.
On the women’s side, USC signee Juju Watkins was also named a McDonald’s All-American. In Collier and Watkins, USC made history by signing the top recruit in country in both men’s and women’s basketball.
NIL Top Ten
On Tuesday, On3 updated their NIL top ten rankings. USC star quarterback Caleb Williams came in at number four on the list, and number two among all college football players.

Two of the three athletes ahead of Williams on the list—Bronny James and Arch Manning—come from families with decorated athletic lineages, and the third is Mikey Williams, a four-star high school basketball player with his own shoe deal. Hence, one could argue that Williams has the highest NIL value of any athlete who actually earned the money primarily through his on-field performance.
Caleb Supports Addison
Early this week, PFF posted a tweet asking fans who they think the best wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft is. Caleb Williams decided to get in on the action and voice his support for USC wideout Jordan Addison.
In their lone season together at USC, Williams and Addison connected 59 times for 875 yards and eight touchdowns. Most analysts project Addison as a first-round pick in the upcoming draft.
