WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at UCLA week officially being upon us, the updated polls following the weekend’s college football action, and College GameDay passing on the Crosstown Showdown.

UCLA Week

UCLA week is officially upon us at USC. This Saturday, the Trojans and Bruins will square off at the Rose Bowl in the annual Crosstown Showdown.

Over the weekend, the Pac 12 announced that the game will kick off at 5:00 PM PST. It will air on Fox, with their top announcing team of Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt on the call.

Updated Polls

Following the weekend’s college football action, the updated AP and Coaches Polls came out on Sunday. The Trojans rose a spot in both polls, moving up to number seven in the AP Poll and number six in the Coaches Poll.

USC was able to move up thanks to Oregon‘s upset loss at the hands of Washington. The Ducks dropped to number 12/13 following their defeat, while UCLA fell to number 16 following their loss to Arizona.

GameDay Passes

Had the Bruins taken care of business against the Wildcats on Saturday, ESPN’s College GameDay may very well have come to Los Angeles for the Crosstown Showdown. With UCLA’s loss, however, GameDay will instead be going to the FCS matchup between Montana and Montana State.

As if USC fans didn’t already have enough reasons to hate UCLA, they can now blame the Bruins for ruining what would’ve been GameDay’s first trip to a USC game in six years.
