WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at Caleb Williams taking home two major awards, Kobe Pepe entering the Transfer Portal, and USC Basketball going 2-0 this week.
Awards for Caleb
Last night, ESPN hosted its annual College Football Awards show. USC quarterback Caleb Williams cartainly ended the evening with a bit of hardware. Williams received both the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award and the Maxwell Award, presented annually to the best player in all of college football.
Tomorrow night, Williams will look to claim the highest individual honor in the sport at the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York.

Pepe to the Portal
On Wednesday night, defensive lineman Kobe Pepe became the latest USC player to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Pepe originally signed with USC as a three-star recruit in the class of 2020. However, he appeared in just three games over his three seasons as a Trojan. Injuries unfortunately slowed him for the majority of his USC career, as he did not record any meaningful stats over his final two years with the team.

Basketballβs 2-0 Week
Due to USCβs final exams, it is a bit of a light stretch for the Trojan Basketball team, as USC does not have any games this weekend. However, the Trojans took care of business in both of their contests this week, surviving Oregon State on Sunday at Galen Center before defeating Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday night.
Up next for USC is a matchup with Long Beach State this coming Wednesday at home.
