WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at the Trojans officially going dancing and earning a berth in the 2023 NCAA Basketball Tournament, USC Women’s Basketball making their first NCAA Tournament appearance in nine years, and the results of The Athletic’s annual USC Fan Survey being released.

Trojans Go Dancing

For the third consecutive year, the Trojans are dancing. On Sunday, USC officially received a bid to the 2023 NCAA Basketball Tournament.

The Trojans are the No. 10-seed in the East Region. They will take on No. 7-seed Michigan State on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.

Women Make Tournament

In addition to the men’s team, USC Women’s Basketball also received an NCAA Tournament bid on Selection Sunday. And while the men are making their third consecutive March Madness appearance, the Women of Troy are in the tournament for the first time since 2014.

This marks the first time since 1997 that both USC Men’s and Women’s Basketball will play in the NCAA Tournament in the same season.
