WeAreSC On3 4/5/23: Tuli on TV, Feldman's Mock Draft, and Way-Too-Early Basketball Rankings
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take at Tuli Tuipulotu joining NFL Network, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic’s mock NFL Draft, and ESPN’s way-too-early rankings for next basketball season.
Tuli on TV
Yesterday morning, USC defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu joined NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” live in studio.
Tuipulotu earned Unanimous All-American honors at USC this past season. He is projected to hear his name called on Day 2 of this month’s NFL Draft.
Feldman’s Mock Draft
Speaking of the draft, college football insider Bruce Feldman of The Athletic recently released a very detailed mock draft.
Feldman has one Trojan going in the first round: wide receiver Jordan Addison at number 29 to the New Orleans Saints.

Here is what he had to say about Addison:
“New Orleans could use help on the defensive line and at tight end, but new QB Derek Carr could also use more firepower, so the Saints grab the 2021 Biletnikoff Award winner, a superb route runner with terrific ball skills who plays much faster than he times. His measurables aren’t great, and like [Bryce] Young, there will be some concerns about his durability since he measured in at 5 feet 11, 173 pounds and only clocked a 4.49 40 with a modest 34-inch vertical. In three college seasons, he caught 219 passes for more than 3,100 yards and 29 TDs. At Pitt, he also proved to be a dangerous returner.”
Way-Too-Early Basketball Rankings
With the men’s and women’s college basketball seasons both recently coming to a close, ESPN put out its way-too-early top 25 rankings for both groups. The USC men’s team came in at number 16 in the rankings, while the women ranked 21st.
In addition to bringing back several starters from last season’s NCAA Tournament teams, both programs signed the number one recruit in the class of 2023: Isaiah Collier for the men, and Juju Watkins on the women’s side.
