WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take at commitment day for four-star safety Aaron Flowers, UCLA’s Jaime Jaquez declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft, and USC Baseball announcing a matchup vs. Long Beach State in Anaheim.

Flowers Announcing Today

Today is commitment day for four-star safety Aaron Flowers.

USC will almost certainly have a hat on the table at Flowers’s announcement. Right now, however, Oregon is the heavy favorite to land the Forney, Texas native.

On3 Consensus ranks Flowers as the number 115 overall player and the number 10 safety in the class of 2024.

Bruins Lose Jaquez

Yesterday, crosstown rival UCLA star Jaime Jaquez announced that he will forego his addition COVID year of eligibility and declare for the 2023 NBA Draft.

Jaquez earned Pac-12 Player of the Year honors this past season. However, USC fans will primarily remember him for going 3-6 against the Trojans—including 0-4 at Galen Center—during his time in a Bruin uniform.

Baseball Heading to Anaheim

USC Baseball recently announced that it will take on Long Beach State at Angel Stadium in Anaheim on Tuesday, May 2. Tickets to the matchup are $25, and also include a voucher for free admission to an Angels game later this season.

Last night, the Trojans continued their recent hot stretch by taking down San Diego State 12-2 at Dedeaux Field. Game two of the three-game series between the Trojans and the Aztecs is tonight at 6:30 PM PDT.
