WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at USC releasing its first depth chart of the 2022 season, two former Trojans battling on Thursday night, and recruiting officially beginning for the class of 2024.
Depth Chart Released
Late on Wednesday night, USC Football released its first depth chart of the 2022 season.
Perhaps the biggest surprise from the release was fan favorite Dennis Lynch beating out veteran Alex Stadhaus for the starting kicker job. Make sure to check out Erik McKinney’s key takeaways for full analysis of the depth chart.
Former Trojans Battle
Last night, we got to see the much-hyped matchup between former USC quarterbacks Kedon Slovis and JT Daniels. Slovis and #17 Pitt hosted Daniels and West Virginia in the renewal of the Backyard Brawl.
The hype did not disappoint, as the Mountaineers and Panthers battled back and forth in a thrilling contest. Ultimately, Slovis and Pitt prevailed 38-31 in a game that was not decided until the final seconds.
