WeAreSC On3 9/27/22: Undefeated in September, Washington State Kickoff Time, and Sanchez's Tweet Goes Viral
WeAreSC On3 is a daily three-point briefing recapping news and notes surrounding USC Athletics. Today, we take a look at USC finishing the month of September undefeated, the kickoff time for the Trojans’ October 8 matchup with Washington State, and a tweet from former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez going viral.
Undefeated in September
With their 17-14 win over Oregon State on Saturday, USC improved to 4-0 on the season. With USC’s next game scheduled for Saturday, October 1, the Trojans officially clinched an undefeated September.
The last time that the Trojans finished the season’s first month undefeated was back in 2010—Lane Kiffin‘s first season as USC’s head coach. However, that team would fade down the stretch and finish the year 8-5. Lincoln Riley and company are hoping to avoid that same fate and continue their winning ways into October and November.
Washington State Kickoff Time
Yesterday, the Pac 12 announced the kickoff time and tv channel for USC’s October 8 matchup with Washington State. The game will kick off at 4:30 PM PDT, and it will be televised on Fox.
The matchup will also be USC’s annual Trojan Family Weekend game. After losing their past two such contests by a combined 48 points (and causing my parents to question my love for this whole USC Football thing), the Trojans are looking for a much different outcome in 2022.

Sanchez’s Tweet Goes Viral
During Sunday’s NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins, we witnessed quite possibly the most bizarre punt of all time. The ball bounced off of an offensive lineman’s rear end and out of the back of the end zone for a safety.
As most people know, former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez once had a similarly hilarious incident with a lineman’s backside. Never one to shy away from a joke, Sanchez decided to weigh in on the play on Twitter.
It’s nice to see that nearly a decade later, Sanchez is able to poke fun at himself for one of the most hilarious plays in NFL history.
