USC Basketball Comes in At #21 in AP Poll

Coming off back-to-back losses this week, USC Basketball drops five spots in the latest AP Poll. The Trojans were beaten at home by Arizona and lost on the road against UCLA. With the Pac-12 Tournament this week, they will look to rebuild momentum going into March Madness. The Trojans take on the winner of No. 6 Washington vs. No. 11 Utah on Thursday. They were undefeated against both teams this year.

Recruits Recap Visits to USC

Over the weekend, USC Football conducted a huge recruiting event, hosting prospects from all over the country. WeAreSC caught up with many of the players who had great compliments to say about the experience.

Hunter Clegg: “Obviously it was an awesome visit. It’s a beautiful place and the people there are really cool. You talk to the coaches on the phone all the time, by its good to put names to faces. To actually have an opportunity to sit down and talk with them. So, I spent a lot of time talking to Coach (Shaun) Nua.”

Kelze Howard: “It was for the top people there,” Howard said. “I appreciate them for having me as a top recruit on their list. I look up to playing at USC or playing at a big school, because that’s the way that I’m going to get to where I want to be in life.”

Braylen Shelby:” I had one of the best times I’ve ever had on a recruiting visit. It was everything he (Odom) had told me and more. I talked to Coach Riley and the entire staff. They’re all so genuine and real. I really loved it in L.A.”

Malachi Nelson & Makai Lemon Looking To Add Teammates

Over the weekend, Malachi Nelson won QB MVP at the Under Armour Next Camp. Current Los Alamitos and fellow USC commit Makai Lemon was also at the event. There, they shared with Scott Schrader how they plan to add to the Trojans’ class. USC currently holds the No.1 class in the On3 2023 Consensus Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
