We’re still about six months away from the start of the 2025 college football season and the spring portal could still have an effect on what rosters look like come August. But early regular season conference championship odds have been released on SportsBetting.ag for the Power Four conferences. And at this point, the USC Trojans are looking up at a handful of teams in the Big Ten.

Lincoln Riley’s program checks in with the sixth-best odds of winning the Big Ten title in 2025, at 33/1.

Defending national champions Ohio State and defending Big Ten champions Oregon lead the way for the conference at 2/1. Penn State is going to be a trendy national championship pick this season with the Nittany Lions bringing back quarterback Drew Allar, running backs Nick Singleton and Kayton Allen and a handful of experienced veterans who could have entered the 2025 NFL Draft. Penn State is just behind the leaders at 3/1.

Michigan is No. 4 after a down season but a strong finish. The Wolverines are in at 13/2. And Indiana checks in behind Michigan at 25/1. The Hoosiers made a surprising run to the College Football Playoff but lost 27-17 to eventual finalist Notre Dame.

USC’s 33/1 number slots in behind Indiana and ahead of Iowa, which checks in at 40/1.

USC had the fifth-best odds to win the Big Ten at this time last season. Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan and Penn State were all ahead of the Trojans. Indiana was dead last, at 250/1.

This season USC does play the two teams with the worst odds. Northwestern and Purdue both check in at 500/1. The Boilermakers are the first road trip for the Trojans this season, on Sept. 13. The Wildcats visit the Coliseum on Nov. 8.
