Where USC commits are playing this week (10/4-5)

USC will be hosting the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday evening. On Thursday and Friday though, many of USC’s commits will be in action throughout the country.

Let’s take a look at where USC’s commits are playing this week and some matchups to look for when applicable. 

Sierra Canyon has had an excellent season, in large part due to the performance of the duo of Trojan commits. Xavier Jordan has played in five of their six games and has reeled in 17 receptions for 401 yards and six touchdowns. Marquis Gallegos has 24 tackles and an interception. He has also forced a fumble.

  • Four-star WR Ryan PellumLong Beach Milikan (4-3) v. Lakewood

Pellum, who has played in four games, has caught 29 passes for 333 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He also has 96 rushing yards. 

Williams has been a force for the Bosco defense, logging 28 tackles, two pass deflections and two interceptions.

Jackson returned from injury last weekend and promptly rushed for 100+ yards and scored three touchdowns.

Fountain has notched 30 tackles, two sacks, one pass deflection and one fumble recovery.

  • Four-star TE Walter MatthewsHiram (6-0) v. Pike County

Matthews has only played in four games, but has 11 receptions for 121 yards. 

Through five games, Boatwright Jr. has 24 total tackles, four pass deflections and two tackles for loss. 

After initially fearing a season ending injury, Palepale is now back in action for Hempfield.

Lewis is now up to 1,000+ passing yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. He has zero interceptions and is completing nearly 70% of his passes.

The most recent commitment for USC, Baker, announced he was pledging to the Trojans during the game against Nevada. There are no stats available for what he has done this season.
