Where USC commits are playing this week (9/28-29)
USC will be traveling to Boulder, Colorado to take on Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes on Saturday morning. On Thursday and Friday though, USC’s commits will be in action throughout the country.
Let’s take a look at where USC’s commits are playing this week and some matchups to look for when applicable.
- Sierra Canyon (5-0) v. Orange Lutheran – Four-star WR Xavier Jordan & Four-star Safety Marquis Gallegos
Sierra Canyon has had an excellent start to their season, in large part due to the performance of the duo of Troja commits. Xavier Jordan has played in four of their games and has reeled in six receptions for 266 yards and five touchdowns. Marquis Gallegos has 17 tackles and an interception. He has also forced a fumble.
- Long Beach Milikan (4-2) v. Woodrow Wilson – Four-star WR Ryan Pellum
Pellum, who has played in four games, has caught 22 passes for 246 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also has 81 rushing yards.
- St. John Bosco (4-1) v. Santa Margarita – Four-star CB Marcelles Williams
Williams has been a force for the Bosco defense, logging 20 tackles, two pass deflections, and one interception.
- McKinney (5-0) v. Braswell – Three-star RB Bryan Jackson
Bryan Jackson sustained a dislocated elbow in his season opener and is returning to action.
- Atlanta Washington (1-5) v. Therrell – Four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain
- Clearwater International Academy (0-3) v. Brentwood Academy – Four-star IOL Jason Zandamela
- Hiram (5-0) v. Dalton – Four-star TE Walter Matthews
Matthews has only played in three games, but has nine receptions for 114 yards.
- Cheshire Academy v. BYE WEEK – Four-star LB Elijah Newby
- Lake Oswego (4-0) v. Tualatan – Four-TE Joey Olsen
- Arlington Martin (2-3) v. Temple – Four-star OL Makai Saina
- Clearwater (2-2) v. Dunedin– Three-star Safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr.
Through four games, Boatwright Jr. has 22 total tackles, two tackles for loss and two pass deflections.
- Humble Atascocita (4-0) v. Westbrook – Three-star Safety Braylon Conley
- Hempfield – Three-star DL Deyvid Palepale
Palepale unfortunately suffered a potentially season ending injury early in the year.
- Cherry Creek (5-0) v. Cherokee Trail – Three-star OL Hayden Treter

Lewis is now up to 1,000+ passing yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. He has zero interceptions and is completing nearly 70% of his passes.
- Los Alamitos (3-2) v. Fountain Valley – WR Ja’Myron Baker
The most recent commitment for USC, Baker, announced he was pledging to the Trojans during the game against Nevada. There are no stats available for what he has done this season.
