Where USC commits are playing this weekend (9/1)
USC will be hosting Nevada this Saturday in the Coliseum for their second game of the 2023 season following a win over San Jose State. On Thursday and Friday though, USC’s commits will be in action throughout the country. WeAreSC will once again be on hand at some of these games.
Let’s take a look at where USC’s commits are playing this week and some matchups to look for when applicable.
- Sierra Canyon v. Green Valley – Four-star WR Xavier Jordan & Four-star Safety Marquis Gallegos
A 2-0 Sierra Canyon is going to be expecting a dominant performance this weekend as they face an 0-2 Green Valley opponent. Xavier Jordan has not had any stats logged yet this season, but Marquis Gallegos has seven tackles in his first two games. He also had a quarterback hurry.
- Long Beach Milikan v. St. Francis – Four-star WR Ryan Pellum
Pellum willed his Long Beach Milikan team to a win this past weekend, scoring three touchdowns. Two came in the air and another came on a kickoff return on the opening kick of the game. Pellum is looking to have his fifth 2+ touchdown performance in his last six games going back to last season.
- St. John Bosco (2-0) v. Friendship Collegiate Academy – Four-star CB Marcelles Williams
Marcelles Williams and Bosco had their first big test of the season facing St. Thomas Aquinas, beating them 20-7. They now face a 1-0 Friendship Collegiate Academy.
