USC will be hosting Stanford this Saturday night in the Coliseum for their third game of the 2023 season following a win over Nevada. On Thursday and Friday though, USC’s commits will be in action throughout the country.

Let’s take a look at where USC’s commits are playing this week and some matchups to look for when applicable.

A 3-0 Sierra Canyon will have a good test this weekend as they face a 3-0 Orange Lutheran squad. Xavier Jordan has only played in two games so far but has six receptions for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Marquis Gallegos has seven tackles and a quarterback hurry.

  • Long Beach Milikan (2-1) v. Upland – Four-star WR Ryan Pellum

Pellum had a monster start to his senior season, scoring three touchdowns. Two came in the air and another came on a kickoff return on the opening kick of the game. This past weekends state have not been loaded in yet, but Pellum was looking to have his fifth 2+ touchdown performance in his last six games going back to last season.

Williams has been a force for the Bosco defense, logging 14 tackles, two pass deflections, and one interception in the first three contests. He will face a loaded St. Frances squad and although they are 0-3 so far, they have some top talent. Williams will be tested going against four-star Oregon QB commit Michael Van Buren and four-star Maryland RB commit DeJuan Williams on the offensive side.

Bryan Jackson sustained a dislocated elbow in his season opener against Longview but the injury is not one that will keep him out long. He has missed one game but expect him back soon.

  • Atlanta Washington (0-3) v. Holy Innocents Episcopal – Four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain

I’m hoping to see the Hiram offense get Matthews some more targets. He has done well with his limited opportunities. So far, he has nine receptions for 114 yards.

In his season opener, Boatwright Jr. had seven tackles and a tackle for loss along with a pass deflection.

Palepale unfortunately suffered a potentially season ending injury early in the year.

  • Cherry Creek (2-0) v. Chatfield – Three-star OL Hayden Treter

Through three games, Lewis has tossed for 592 yards and eight touchdowns on 67% passing. He has looked every bit of a 5-star talent along the way. Expect a big performance this weekend.

The newest commitment for USC, Baker, announced he was pledging to the Trojans last Saturday during the game against Nevada. There are no stats available for what he has done in the first three games.
